Dale E. Miller

Dale E. Miller was sustained as a General Authority of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy on April 5, 1997, and served until October 2010. Before his call to full-time Church service, he served as a bishop, high councilor, stake president, and area authority serving in Puerto Rico. He presided over the Venezuela Caracas Mission. he served as a missionary in Uruguay as a young man. He also served as a counselor to then-bishop Henry B. Eyring.

Miller was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 2, 1936. He received a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in international management from the University of Southern California. For twelve years he was an executive in the pharmaceutical industry and then he was an adviser to venture capital firms and cofounded an international business training company.

He and his wife, Laurel, are the parents of five children.
