Ronald B. Jarrett is a retired educator and has served with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for many years. On August 1, 2012, he was appointed president of the choir and had been a singing member of the choir from 1999 to 2008. He is the first choir president to have been a singing member of the choir. From 2008 to 2011, he served as assistant to choir president Mac Christensen. As president of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, he manages operations, employees, and marketing and oversees the administrative components, including overseeing over 700 volunteers. He was a charter member of the Mormon Youth Symphony and Chorus when it was organized in 1969. He was also personnel manager of the Chorus.

During his career, he taught in special education and elementary education for twelve years. he was an elementary school principal for over twenty years. he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brigham Young University and received a post-graduate certificate in educational administration from the University of Utah. He has also served for a long time in his community.

Jarrett and his wife, Lucie, served full-time as public affairs missionaries in Frankfurt, Germany for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are the parents of three children.
