Meridian Magazine is an online magazine oriented toward members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was created by husband-wife team Scot Facer Proctor and Maurine Proctor who were editors of the now defunct This People magazine.

The articles featured at Meridian Magazine broadly cover news, books, entertainment, family, social issues, and gospel topics that appeal to members of the Church of Jesus Christ. Meridian Magazine frequently features photo essays from Scot Facer Proctor, an accomplished professional photographer. Numerous columnists regularly contribute on a variety of topics and the Proctors have also offered podcasts on Church curriculum.

Maurine Jensen Proctor is the editor in chief at Meridian Magazine. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and a master’s degree from Harvard. She wrote for both McGraw Hill magazines and the Chicago Sun-Times. She has created award-winning television documentaries, radio shows and was a long-time writer for The Spoken Word radio broadcast of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square.

Scot Facer Proctor holds a bachelor’s degree in television production from Brigham Young University. His minors were in political science and German. He also served as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ in Germany.

The Proctors also taught institute for more than 15 years and have led tours together.
