Adam Pulsipher

Adam Pulsipher is a former Brigham Young University linebacker who used his experiences to build a career, not in professional football, but in finance.

When he was recruited by BYU, he was given a book penned by Chad Lewis titled Surround Yourself with Greatness. Pulsipher internalized the message of the book. After serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chile, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Master of Public Administration degree from BYU. While working on his degrees, he “provided tutoring at the Boys & Girls Club; volunteered in Tonga as a dental assistant, helping deliver medical supplies for the government hospital; served an internship for a venture capital firm; organized hospital visits for the football team; and was the co-chair of BYU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.”[1] He helped found the BYU Private Equity & Venture Capital Club and became part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, where he worked with the athletic department administration,

He was also honored as a member of the 2019 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which consists of college football players who maintain a cumulative 3.2 GPA. He was also a semifinalist for the 2018 William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded annually to the top football scholar-athlete in the nation for excellence in the classroom, in the community and on the field. At the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in December 2018, Pulsipher was presented the Humanitarian Award for his community service.

He also married Makenzi Morrison, a former BYU women’s basketball player, and became a father for the first time.

Pulsipher will work for McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm in California. He credits his parents, wife, teammates, coaches, professors, and classmates for his journey in “faith, service, and education.”[2]
