Aram Barsch von Benedikt Mormon Outdoorsman

Aram Barsch von Benedikt is a wildlife manager and outdoor photographer. He is the son of artist Wulf Barsch. His twin brother, Joseph, is an award-winning outdoor writer.

Von Benedikt grew up on a self-sustaining farm in Boulder, Utah, and continues to live there with his wife and children. He grew up plowing the fields with a team of draft horses, blacksmithing, growing his own food, riding and training horses, raising livestock, and making saddles, bows, and arrows. He works the cattle in the wild country around Boulder. For a time he worked as wildlife manager on the Longfellow Ranch in west Texas. He is a backcountry-hunting guide, guiding elk hunters in Utah, Montana, and Idaho. He is also on the staff of the Boulder Outdoor Survival School (BOSS). His wildlife and outdoor photographs have been published in five different magazines. He has also written for Shooting Times.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
