Brittany Watson Jepsen
Brittany Watson Jepsen is the creative mind behind The House That Lars Built blog, YouTube channel, and online store. Traffic on her blog exploded after numerous bloggers published her wedding pictures that featured paper flowers and garlands she created.
Brittany grew up in southern California where she learned to live by her mother’s favorite quotation, “a creative mess is better than tidy idleness.” She earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and later earned a master’s degree in interior design from Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC. During her summers at graduate school, she worked in New York for such clients as Tiffany and Company, Schumacher, and Dempsey and Carroll. She also won first place in the NBC Today Show’s 2013 Kentucky Derby hat competition.
She is the author of Craft the Rainbow: 40 Colorful Paper Projects from The House That Lars Built. She also created Cactus Coloring Book and Flowers Coloring Book.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Brittany and husband, Paul, lived for a time in Copenhagen, Denmark.
