James P. Neel

James P. Neel is a Foreign Service officer. His wife, Jaimee M. Neel is also an officer. He is currently serving in Beijing City, China, and has worked at the U.S. Embassy in London, England; Baghdad, Iraq; Cairo, Egypt; Shanghai, China; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has also served in Washington, D.C. on the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs, and earlier on the Bureau of Counterterrorism and the International Trade Administration.

He holds a Master of Laws (L.L.M) degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Brigham Young University Law School. He also received a bachelor’s degree in global economy from BYU.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife have two children.
