Jay Bryant Ward is an artist and much of his work is religious, focusing on the life of Jesus Christ. Ward is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He loved drawing from a young age and won three national art awards for painting and illustration before he graduated from high school. He studied at Ricks College and Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree with an emphasis in illustration. He studied under Leon Parson, Robert Barrett, Richard Hull, Don Seegmiller, and Richard Schmid.

Ward teaches traditional and digital art at a local college. He has created a way to assist art students with a system called Artistic.i.
