Lucia Palermo Mormon Athlete

Lucia Palermo is an Olympic rower who competed in the 2004, 2012, and 2016 Olympics for Argentina. At the 2004 Olympic Games, Palermo competed in the women's lightweight sculls with Milka Kraljev, finishing in 17th place. In 2012, she competed in the Olympic singles sculls, placing 21st overall, and won the double sculls in the South American Rowing Championships with Maria Gabriela Best. In the 2016 Olympics, she competed in qualifying races throughout week one of the Olympics. Ranking third in her semifinal heat, she finished in 17th place overall.

In the 2015 Pan American Games, she took bronze in the lightweight single sculls. At the 2012 South American Rowing Championships, she and Maria Gabriela Best won the women's double sculls.

Palermo is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
