Roxane Pfister Mormon Artist

'Roxane Mitchell Pfister is an artist who paints high desert, Utah’s mountains, and California’s coastline landscapes. She also is a statistician at Utah State University.

Pfister was born in Boise, Idaho, and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She earned a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Utah State University and later a master’s degree in statistics from USU. She worked for a time as a commercial illustrator in Los Angeles, California.

Her work has been exhibited, most recently in “For the Love of Landscape” at Utah State University in November 2015. She was part of the “We Three” art exhibit in June–July 2014 in Logan, Utah, with long-time friends and artists Dilleen Marsh and Barbara Summers Edwards.

Pfister is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband, Jim, are the parents of four children and live in Cache Valley, Utah.
