Olivia Hoj-Simister was a runner with the Brigham Young University women’s cross-country and track and field teams for five years. She was captain of both teams for three years. She graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in public health and is in the MPA program at BYU Marriott School of Business and will graduate in 2022.

Olivia ran in the distance medley relay during the 2021 Indoor Track and Field Championships this spring helping her relay team win the event. She placed seventh in the women's 3000-meter individual race. Both races gave her All-American honors.

She placed third in the 5K at the 2019 Big Wave Invitational, fifth in the WCC Championships in the 6K, and seventh in the NCAA Mountain Region Championships.

Her indoor personal bests include 2:08.26 in the 800m and 4:31.73 in the mile at the 2021 Husky Classic; 8:56.91 in the 3000m at the 2021 UW Invite; and 16:17.60 in the 5000m at the 2018 Iowa State Classic.

Before BYU, she was the 2016 4A two-mile state champion. She was also the Footlocker National Finalist.
