Hoyt and Judy Brewster

Hoyt W. Brewster, Jr. was a Seminary and Institute teacher, and later a professor at Pepperdine University, Chapman College, and Brigham Young University. Brewster received his B.A. from the University of Utah, his M.A. from BYU, and his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.

He also served for a time as a member of the Correlation Committee for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was managing director of the Priesthood Department and chaired several general Church committees. He retired as manager in the Church Temple Department. From 1996 to 1999 he was president of the Netherlands Amsterdam Mission. He was also director of the Mormon Trail Center in Florence, Nebraska, and served as president of the New Zealand Missionary Training Center.

Brewster is noted for the many books he has authored. Among these are Behold I Come Quikly: The Last Days and Beyond; Moments that Matter; Martyrs of The Kingdom; Doctrine and Covenants Encyclopedia; A Time for Yourth and Prophets, Priesthood Keys and Succession.

Brother Brewster and his wife, Judy, are the parents of five children.
