Pita Taumoepenu is a professional football player who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft and signed a four-year contract. He was waived on September 1, 2018, and placed on the practice squad. On December 5, 2018, he was promoted to active roster, then waived on May 28, 2019. He was claimed on May 29, 2019 by the Arizona Cardinals. On the final roster cuts in August, he was waived and placed on the injured reserve list. He was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement on September 10, 2019.

He also signed with the Seattle Seahawks, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Denver Broncos.

Taumoepenu played college football for the University of Utah. He is from Provo, Utah. He was born in 1994 in Texas and moved with his grandparents to Tonga when he was three months old.
