Alex Whittingham is an NFL coach, having joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018 as a defensive assistant. He became defensive quality control coach in 2020.

Whittingham played college football for the University of Utah, where his father is head coach. Alex is a three-time honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic. He also earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a full-time mission to New Zealand. He has been open about his experience with anxiety, depression, and OCD tendencies, which brought him home from his mission after serving for 15 months.
