Paul Huntsman is president and CEO of Huntsman Family Investments. Prior to Huntsman Family Investments, Huntsman served as senior vice president at Huntsman Gay Global Capital and vice president at Huntsman Corporation. He started his professional career working as an investment research professional at Deutsche Bank. Currently, Huntsman sits on the Board of the University of Pennsylvania’s Huntsman Program. Previously, he served on the boards of Huntsman Corporation and Citadel Plastics.

Huntsman bought the Salt Lake Tribune in 2016 and converted it into a nonprofit (501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization ) three years later. He resigned as chairman of the board of directors and operations in February 2024. The newspaper had been struggling financially for a number of years prior to his purchase.

He started a weekly newspaper called The Coronado News in January 2023.[1] His father, billionaire industrialist Jon M. Huntsman, Sr., was stationed there while serving in the Navy — and Paul Huntsman grew up vacationing there. Huntsman bought a home on the island in 2022.

He holds an MBA degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned his bachelor of arts degree in political science and government from the University of Utah.
