Pacumeni
Pacumeni is a character from the Book of Mormon that fought against his brothers Pahoran and Paanchi for the judgment seat vacated by their father Pahoran upon his death in the 40th year of the reign of judges. The judgment seat was eventually given to Pahoran by the voice of the people. Pacumeni followed the voice of the people and supported his brother, while Paanchi began a rebellion against Pahoran. Paanchi was caught, tried, and condemned to death. This led to his followers and specifically, Kishkumen to assassinate Pahoran as he sat on the judgment-seat. Pacumeni was then appointed to the judgment-seat according to the voice of the people. His time on the judgment-seat was brief, however, due to the Lamanites attacking the city of Zarahemla in the 41st year of the reign of judges. With all the contention over the judgment seat, the Nephites were ill prepared to defend themselves. The Lamanites quickly conquered the city and as Pacumeni fled, he was caught and murdered by the leader of the Lamanites, Coriantumr at the walls of the city. [1]
