In A.D. 34, when
Jesus Christ was visiting the
Nephites on the American continent, he called Twelve
Nephite disciples;
Mathonihah being the fifth he named in 3 Nephi 19:4; his brother
Mathoni being the fourth. The Twelve then went around teaching the people to pray, they led by example by praying to the Father in the name of
Jesus Christ.
