Brandon Doman is a former professional football player. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2002 NFL Draft and played through 2004.

Doman is also a football coach. He was hired by Bronco Mendenhall as quarterbacks coach at BYU in 2005. He was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2011, but was replaced at the end of 2012, after the offense lagged. He is now offensive coordinator at Pleasant Grove High School.

Doman had a number of coaching offers, but turned them down. During his eight-year absence from football, Doman focused on raising his children, owning businesses, and service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has served in his stake presidency and as a bishop. He said, “I look back at getting let go at BYU and some of the blessings that’s meant to be out of the coaching profession. I miss it and I loved it,” Doman said. “But I feel like I was fortunate. Spiritually speaking, I feel like I was looked after. The alternative has been a blessing. I’ve been able to be home and participate like I wouldn’t have been able to had I been coaching.”[1]

Doman earned the nickname “The Domanator” while playing quarterback for BYU in 2000–2001. He threw for 4,538 yards and 35 touchdowns and rushing for 624 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He and his wife, Alisha, have adopted six children.
