Downy Doxey-Marshall: Mormon Artist

Downy Doxey-Marshall is a artist specializing in egg-tempera painting. She is the daughter-in-law of artist Robert Marshall and assisted him in painting murals for the Provo City Center Temple. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was born in 1964 in Salt Lake City and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Utah. She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University, where she has taught part time.
Doxey-Marshall was a finalist in the 1998 Utah Arts Council Fellowship Award. Her work won a merit award in the 72nd Utah Spring Salon; it is also part of the permanent collection of the Springville Museum of Art.
