Harvey Langi

Havea Hikuleo "Harvey" Langi is an American football linebacker with the New England Patriots. He went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft. He received twelve offers and signed a three-year contract with the Patriots on April 30, 2017. He made his first career tackle in his debut on September 17, 2017, against the New Orleans Saints. On October 25, 2017, he was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list due to the injuries he suffered in a serious car crash weeks prior. He and his wife, Cassidy, were rear-ended at a stop light by a driver who was going 50 mph. On September 1, 2018, he was released as part of a roster cutdown.

On October 1, 2018, he signed to the New York Jets practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Jets on January 8, 2019. He entered the 2020 season as a backup middle linebacker. He started in seven games. On December 22, 2020, he was placed on injured reserve.

On May 10, 2021, he signed with the New England Patriots. After suffering an MCL sprain, he was placed on injured reserve on October 26, 2021.

Langi was born on September 24, 1992, in West Jordan, Utah. He played college football from 2014 to 2016 with Brigham Young University. Before BYU, Langi was a four-star running back recruit from Bingham High School. He originally signed with University of Utah and played a year for the Utes, then transferred to BYU after serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
