Loki Mulholland

Loki Mulholland is an award-winning filmmaker and author. His mother, Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, and her bold commitment to fight against racism, have been the inspiration for some of his work. His first book, She Stood for Freedom: The Untold Story of a Civil Rights Hero, Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, is an illustrated children’s book about his mother’s life. He also created the award-winning film An Ordinary Hero, about his mother, appeared on PBS. It was also featured during the 2013 LDS Film Festival.

His mother was a Southern white female who was a civil rights activist. In her stand for equality, she was attacked by mobs, faced the KKK, and was arrested without committing a crime. She helped plan and organize the March on Washington. A statue of her stands at the National Civil Rights Museum.

He has spoken throughout the United States on the Civil Rights Movement and race relations.

Mulholland is the executive director of the Joan Trumpauer Mulholland Foundation and has been a video production manager, producer, and director. He owns Taylor Street Film, the video production company that produced An Ordinary Hero.

He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
