Allyse Jackson is the founder of Beehive Meals, a thriving freezer-meal company.

While expecting her first child, she started prepping freezer meals so she wouldn’t have to cook after the baby was born. After stockpiling well-over 50 meals, she started sharing her wares with neighbors in need.

Later, when her husband’s job instability sent Allyse into making a list of what she could do to help supplement their income, freezer meals were on her list of things she was good at. She took to social media to see what kind of response she would get and within hours people were sending her money. Keeping her work load to 10-12 people a week, a few meals each, she started Beehive Meals. The meals consist of preassembled raw ingredients that are vacuum sealed and delivered to customers who can throw the meals into a slow cooker.

Her company kept growing, and she acquired the necessary certifications and commercial kitchen. With the onset of the global pandemic, her sales doubled month after month.

And she hired her husband, Adam, to work for the company. “He does all the marketing and digital — anything that’s online is him.”[1] The recipes Jackson uses are inspired by meals she ate growing up and she hopes they provide other families with warm memories around the dinner table. "I remember coming home to homemade dinner and eating as a family," she recalls. "I grew up with that, and that aided in my desire to prep for my own family."

Beehive Meals has grown so well and so fast that she never had to take out a loan to grow the company. Her company serves multiple states.
