Dennis Liddiard
Dennis Liddiard is an Academy Award-nominated makeup artist. He followed in the footsteps of his father Gary Liddiard, who took him on jobs throughout the world and trained him, including five months in Kenya when his dad was makeup artist for Robert Redford in Out of Africa.
Liddiard studied for one year at Brigham Young University before devoting his time to the highly competitive business. He has worked on Breakdown, Speed 2: Cruise Control, Kong: Skull Island, The Fate of the Future (where he was Kurt Russell’s personal makeup artist), Wedding Crashers, The Girl Next Door, Moneybag, 21 Jump Street, John Carter, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, to name a few. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on Foxcatcher, where he was key makeup artist. He has been Kurt Russell’s makeup artist for other movies such as Backdraft, Unlawful Entry, Stargate, Soldier, 3000 Miles to Graceland, Vanilla Sky, Miracle, Sky High, and Poseidon.
Liddiard is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
