Emily Utt works as Historic Sites Curator for the Church History Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She specializes in historic preservation and research activities for Latter-day Saint meetinghouses, temples, and historic sites.

She frequently conducts on-site workshops and tours and lectures on the relationship between architecture and local history.

She double majored in religion and history, with a minor in sociology, at Case Western Reserve University. She holds a master’s degree in historic preservation from Goucher College, in Baltimore, Maryland.
