Kenedi Anderson
Kenedi Anderson is a singer who stunned the three judges of “American Idol” in her audition for the television show. Saying that her “musical journey for the rest of your life just started right here, right now” and that she was “born to be a star,” they gave her a platinum ticket, which pushed her directly into the Hollywood round, bypassing any possible eliminations. Shortly after making it into the top 24 contestants, she dropped out of the competition for “personal reasons.” She was only 17 years old at the time.
Although from Virginia, she explained to the judges that she moved frequently with her family because of her dad’s job in the football industry. (Her father, Justin Anderson, is a college football coach and former player.) Kenedi has continued singing through her social media presence on TikTok and Instagram.
In June 2024, she announced through her social media accounts that she had been assigned to serve in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.[1] She also said she is not quitting music.
