Laura Brotherson
Laura M. Brotherson is a marriage and intimacy expert and founder of StrengtheningMarriage.com. She is also a bestselling author of And They Were Not Ashamed: Strengthening Marriage through Sexual Fulfillment and hosts both a YouTube channel “Marriage Messages” and the podcast “The Marital Intimacy Show.” She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Brotherson was born in Canada and raised in Alberta, Idaho, and Washington. She earned her bachelor’s degree in family science from Brigham Young University. She received her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Capella University. She is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Family Life Educator. She is completing her specialized certification as a sex therapist through The Institute for Sexual Wholeness. She has written for numerous online magazines, including Meridian Magazine, MormonTimes.com and Hitched.
She and her husband, Kevin, are the parents of three children.
