Shawn Murphy

Shawn Murphy is a former professional football guard. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL draft. He has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, and Denver Broncos.

Murphy was born on December 17, 1982, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Dale and Nancy Murphy. He played college football at Ricks College before serving as a full-time missionary in Brazil. He also attended Dixie State College of Utah and Utah State University. During his senior year, he earned academic all-conference honors, All-American honorable mention, and All-WAC second team recognition.

Murphy is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
