Zenock was a
prophet of
Israel in
Old Testament times who is mentioned only in the
Book of Mormon. He prophesied that
Christ would yield himself to be crucified (
1 Nephi 19: 10). He spoke and testified of the
Son of God and that
redemption comes through Him (
Alma 33: 15 and
Alma 34: 7). When the people did not understand his words,
Zenock became a martyr for the truth (
Alma 33: 17). He prophesied concerning the coming of the
Messiah (
Helaman 8: 20).
