On April 2, 2022, Kristin M. Yee was sustained as second counselor in the Relief Society general presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will begin her service on August 1, 2022.
Sister Yee works as the manager of the Church’s animation team where she manages 45 individual artists, vendors, and directors in the creation of animation and exhibit projects. She was previously employed by Disney Interactive Studios for 13 years.
She was born in Sacramento, California, where she grew up until her mother decided to move her five children to the more rural environment of Burley, Idaho.
She moved to San Francisco briefly to study art upon graduation from high school. She returned to Idaho and earned an Associate of Arts degree in illustration from Ricks College before transferring to Brigham Young University to continue her studies. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration in 2005. In 2019 she earned a Master of Public Administration from BYU.
