Anne C. Pingree

Anne C. Pingree served as Second Counselor to Bonnie D. Parkin in the Relief Society general presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She served with her husband, George C. Pingree, as he presided over the Nigeria Port Harcourt Mission. Literacy was one of her focuses while serving with him. She used her bachelor’s degree in English from the University to Utah and teaching certificate to serve in this capacity and as a literacy volunteer for Spanish-speaking elementary school children and as an English tutor for Laotian immigrants in her community.

She has also served as a Relief Society general board member, a stake and ward Relief Society president, a ward Primary president, and a counselor in her stake Young Women presidency.

Pingree was born on June 11, 1941, in Salt Lake City. She and her husband are the parents of five children.
