Timothy R. Clark
Timothy R. Clark is a world authority in the field of change leadership and organizational transformation. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Mormon Church, having served in numerous callings, including as a bishop, bishop's councilor, high councilor, primary teacher, and scout leader.
Clark was born on August 28, 1964, in Provo, Utah. He graduated from Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, where he was an all-state football player and heavy weight wrestler.
As an undergraduate at Brigham Young University, he was named a first-team Academic All-American football player. He completed a triple degree at BYU in International Relations, Political Science, and Korean. Clark also earned a master’s degree in Government and Economics from the University of Utah, and then a doctorate in International Politics from Oxford University, where he was both a Fulbright and British Research Scholar. He interrupted both his football participation and education to serve a two year mission for the LDS Church to Seoul, Korea.
Dr. Clark has worked as a staff intern for the United States Senate, taught as an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University, and lectured as part of the Oxford Conclave on global ethics. He also worked in a steel mill for eight years, five as plant manager. This is where he obtained his second education, "the education that transitions you from knowing to doing."
Dr. Clark was President and CEO of Decker, a consulting firm based in San Francisco, and CEO of Novations SDC, a consulting and training firm based in Boston. He is founder and chairman of TRClark Partners, a consultancy that provides advisory services in strategy, large-scale change and transformation, and executive development. He also writes the syndicated column “On Leadership” for the Deseret News, and is a powerful and highly acclaimed keynote speaker. He is the author of the critically claimed book, Epic Change: How to Lead Change in the Global age as well as authoring The Leadership Test: Will You Pass?
In addition to conducting research with his team, Dr. Clark advises, trains, and speaks to senior leaders who are leading major organizational change initiatives. He is also a highly sought-after coach to CEOs and other senior leaders.
Dr. Clark is married to the former Tracey Angela Watkins of Idaho Falls, Idaho. They are the parents of six children and live in Alpine, Utah.
