Janet Peterson: Mormon Author

Janet Peterson is an American author who writes primarily for publications of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which she is a member.

Peterson was born in 1946 and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Brigham Young University. As a freelance writer, she has published over 100 articles in Church magazines, including interviews with General Authorities and general officers of the Church. She has served on the Church Correlation Committee (Materials Evaluation) for over ten years.

She is the author of several books, including Remedies for the I Don't Cook Syndrome and Family Dinners: Easy Ways to Feed Your Kids and Get Them Talking at the Table. She co-authored with LaRene Gaunt Faith, Hope, and Charity: Inspiration from the Lives of Relief Society Presidents, Keepers of the Flame: Presidents of the Young Women, and The Children's Friends: Presidents of the Primary and Their Lives of Service.

She and her husband, Larry, have six children, and 14 grandchildren. They live in Utah.
