The Abuja Nigeria Temple was among the seventeen new temples announced by President Russell M. Nelson during the October 2024 General Conference.[1] The Abuja Nigeria Temple will be the sixth temple built in the West African country. Abuja is the nation's capital. Church membership in Nigeria is over 232,000 in 810 congregations.

The Abuja Nigeria Temple is currently in the planning stages. No location has been announced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
