Chronological List of Temples
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints currently has 161 temples in operation around the world. During the Sunday afternoon session of the 188th Annual General Conference of the Church, President Russell M. Nelson announced that seven new temples will be built in the following locations: Salta, Argentina; Bengaluru, India; Managua Nicaragua; Cagayan de Oro, Philippines; Layton, Utah; Richmond, Virginia; and a major city yet to be determined in Russia. There are currently 11 temples under construction and 29 temples that have been announced (not yet under construction). The following temples are currently undergoing renovations: Jordan River Utah Temple, Frankfurt Germany Temple, Memphis Tennessee Temple, Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple, Asunción Paraguay Temple, Raleigh North Carolina Temple, and Tokyo Japan Temple.
Open house tickets for the Jordan River Utah Temple will be available beginning Monday, 12 February 2018 at 10:00 am MT. The temple is scheduled to be rededicated on Sunday, 20 May 2018.
The following temples are scheduled for renovation: Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple (Renovation Closure: Scheduled for January 28, 2018), Oakland California Temple (Renovation Closure: Scheduled for February 19, 2018), Washington D.C. Temple (Renovation Closure: Scheduled for March 4, 2018), Mesa Arizona Temple (Renovation Closure: Scheduled for May 20, 2018).
